ReEmerge is developing Cognitive Network Restoration Therapy (CNRT), a neuromodulation platform that targets neural networks in the central thalamus to treat chronic cognitive impairment after brain injury. The aim is to restore function to underperforming circuits, starting with patients with moderate-to-severe traumatic brain injury.
The company launched from stealth on 15 September 2026 with an oversubscribed $37 million Series A co-led by U.S. Venture Partners and Santé. It says the capital will fund an upcoming clinical study, technology development and regulatory work.
The technology comes from decades of research by co-founder Dr Nicholas Schiff, Professor of Neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medicine, and colleagues, and ReEmerge holds an exclusive licence from Cornell University. The company is led by Chief Executive Officer Todd Langevin.
The scientific co-founders are Schiff, Christopher Butson, previously at Cleveland Clinic, Jonathan Baker, previously at NYU Winthrop, and Jaimie Henderson.
