Ploti is building a geospatial intelligence layer with AI agents that Find (discover, normalize and maintain spatial data), Reason (answer complex questions with geographic context) and Build (turn those answers into custom software via an 'Agent Harness'). It handles the unglamorous plumbing — reconciling boundaries, understanding coordinate systems, running spatial joins — that general-purpose LLMs can't do reliably.

Off-the-shelf large language models can't reliably reason about geospatial data, yet whole industries — real estate, data centre siting, retail expansion — depend on parcels, zoning and environmental constraints scattered across fragmented, geography-specific sources. Ploti is betting a purpose-built reasoning system beats a general model bolted onto maps.

The company started in land acquisition, a sector plagued by fragmented data on parcels, ownership, zoning and environmental limits. While building for that niche, the team says it developed a more general-purpose geospatial agent and widened its focus accordingly.

Founded by Denielle Abaquita, the team's edge appears to be a domain-first approach — hardening the product against a genuinely painful land-acquisition use case before generalising. We don't have detailed founder pedigree yet, so the proof will be in shipped workflows.
