The company
Matrikel is building an AI-native operating system for real estate portfolios that combines property operations, bookkeeping and legal compliance. AI agents generate rent invoices, reconcile bank transactions, send payment reminders and triage maintenance requests that tenants report by phone, chat or email.
The company says manual, spreadsheet-based workflows are still common among Danish property administrators, and its agents target that administrative work. Every lease clause and rent adjustment is checked against the current Danish Rental Act, with findings routed to human legal review before a binding notice reaches a tenant.
Matrikel was founded in 2026 in Copenhagen by Carl-Emil von Arenstorff and was bootstrapped as of its public launch. It exports bookkeeping data in Denmark's standard SAF-T format for accountants.
Von Arenstorff previously worked at The Organic Crave Company, BusySunday and Pas Normal Studios, and founded ERW (ERW Active & My Flight Pack).
