Kurd
Turns cottage cheese into a protein-rich, spreadable condiment built to replace mayonnaise.

The company
US-based Kurd is developing a cottage cheese-based condiment engineered to spread like mayonnaise but carry more protein, aimed squarely at replacing the jar in your fridge door. Planned launch flavours are Original, Garlic + Herb and Jalapeño, chosen from a shortlist that an early community is voting on.
Protein has become the default lens through which health-conscious shoppers read every label, and cottage cheese has already made an unlikely comeback as a base ingredient — Kurd is betting the same logic applies to the condiment aisle.
Founders Ryan Hogan and Bryan MacDonald have opted to build in public, documenting the journey from concept and branding to formulation via a running build log on their site and LinkedIn rather than launching quietly.
The founding team is treating transparency as a strategy, publicly tracking food-safety testing, sourcing and co-manufacturer conversations while capping early access at 10,000 reserved "Founding Members" — a way to build demand before a product even exists.
