The company
IM-Space Technologies develops robotic tools that let orbital and lunar servicing systems join, cut and modify structures in space. Its product line includes a capacitor-discharge stud-welding tool, an electron-beam material-processing tool, a laser surface-cleaning tool and robotic end-effectors, all designed to attach to external robotic platforms in vacuum.
The tools are aimed at servicing-system providers and satellite operators working on spacecraft upgrades, active debris capture, lunar infrastructure and in-space assembly. Development is supported through cooperation with the European Space Agency and PIAP Space.
IM-Space Technologies was founded in Bratislava in 2026 as a joint spin-off of the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and Space scAvengers. It has access to the institute's vacuum-process, machining and testing facilities.
Co-founder Marek Gebura is also a founder of Space scAvengers, previously worked at GA Drilling and studied at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
