Designer · angel investor

A public profile built from Dealroom's investment data — explore the full record, co-investors and entry rounds on the Dealroom platform.

Soleio Cuervo, who works simply as Soleio, is a product designer and angel investor regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern software design. He was one of Facebook's earliest designers, joining in 2005, where over roughly six years he led design work on foundational products — including the era of News Feed that introduced the “Like” button, plus Groups and Chat — and helped shape the company's early design culture.

In 2012 Soleio joined Dropbox as head of design, building and leading its design organisation as the team scaled from a handful of designers to several dozen. He is widely cited as having shaped the early visual language of products now used by billions of people, and has since advised companies such as Figma and Vercel on design. Now based in London, he advises and invests across a wide network of design-driven founders.

Soleio has become a prominent design-focused angel investor and co-founded the design-and-venture firm Combine. His portfolio is concentrated in design-led and developer-facing software; Dealroom tracks his investments in Figma, Granola and Perplexity. His eye for product has made him a recurring early backer of category-defining software and AI companies.
