The core of Zubie's offering is a small, self-installed device that plugs into a vehicle's On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) port. This device captures and transmits data to the Zubie cloud, which users can then access via web and mobile applications for iOS and Android. The platform serves a wide range of clients, from individual car owners to large-scale enterprises in the car rental, automotive dealership, and service center sectors. Notable clients have included Hertz, Avis, and Toyota.

For its business clients, Zubie provides fleet management solutions under the names Zubie Fleet Connect and Zubie Rental Connect. These solutions offer features such as 24/7 GPS tracking, real-time alerts, trip history, and geofencing. The system also monitors driver performance by tracking metrics like hard braking, rapid acceleration, idling time, and speeding. A key component is vehicle health monitoring, which includes engine diagnostics, battery level alerts, fuel tracking, and maintenance scheduling to prevent breakdowns and reduce operational costs. More recently, Zubie has expanded its hardware to include dashcams with both road and cabin-facing cameras and Asset Trak, a battery-powered device for tracking physical assets.
