ZeroDrift provides an AI-native communications firewall designed to ensure regulatory compliance for enterprises before any messages are sent. The New York-based company, founded in 2025 by Kumesh Aroomoogan and officially launched in February 2026, operates as a real-time enforcement layer, distinct from post-event monitoring tools. The platform is engineered to validate all outbound communications—including emails, social media posts, CRM entries, and AI-generated content—against a firm's specific policies as well as regulations from bodies like the SEC and FINRA.

The system functions by encoding regulatory and internal policies into machine-readable rulepacks. It integrates directly with existing business tools such as browsers, CRMs, and social platforms, checking content at the moment of creation. When a potential violation is detected, the platform flags the issue and provides recommended fixes, allowing users to correct content instantly without requiring lengthy manual reviews. For compliance teams, ZeroDrift offers centralized dashboards, complete audit trails, and automatically generated, exam-ready evidence.

Kumesh Aroomoogan, the founder and CEO, previously founded Accern, a no-code AI platform for financial services, which he exited via acquisition in 2025. The concept for ZeroDrift stemmed from his direct experience with the operational delays caused by protracted legal and compliance reviews. The founding team also includes engineering leaders from Goldman Sachs, Google, and Microsoft. In February 2026, ZeroDrift announced it had raised $2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by a16z Speedrun, a program from Andreessen Horowitz. This capital is intended to support its go-to-market strategy, expand its product across more communication channels, and further develop its compliance engine.

ZeroDrift's initial target market is the financial services industry, serving clients such as registered investment advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, asset managers, and wealth platforms. The company plans to expand its services to other regulated sectors in the future, including insurance, healthcare, and ESG disclosures.
