The company was established in February 2016 by a team of former executives from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC): Joey Johnsen, John McCartney, and Karen Curtis. They identified a crucial gap in the market for outsourced IT solutions and enterprise software development tailored to the complex needs of global aircraft leasing operations. While Karen Curtis stepped down in 2020 to an advisory role, the firm is currently led by Principals Joey Johnsen, who serves as CEO, and John McCartney, who is the Chief Technology Officer.

Joey Johnsen's career includes over two decades of enhancing shareholder value through finance leadership and transformation at public companies such as Deloitte, T-Mobile, and notably ILFC (now AerCap). Her experience during the integration of ILFC into AerCap, alongside her co-founders, provided the foundational insights for Zeevo's mission to bridge the divide between business needs and technology capabilities. Zeevo's business model is centered on providing project-based consulting and managed services to a client base that, while including technology and consumer product sectors, is heavily concentrated in the aircraft leasing and aviation finance industry. The firm generates revenue by deploying its team of experienced professionals to assist clients with M&A advisory, risk and controls, business process optimization, and technology strategy. Services range from Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and pre-IPO readiness to designing and implementing harmonized global processes. In addition to its consulting services, Zeevo acts as the exclusive distributor for Fly Forward®, a lease and asset management software platform developed by Lease Logic, Inc. This cloud-based system was purpose-built for aircraft lessors to integrate commercial, technical, contractual, and financial data into a single platform, offering capabilities like maintenance forecasting, contract automation, and financial reconciliation. This product offering complements their consulting services by providing a tangible technology solution to the challenges they advise on, creating an additional revenue stream through its distribution.
