Zee.Dog is a lifestyle brand focused on connecting dogs and people through its products, which are sold in over 55 countries. Founded in 2011 by brothers Thadeu and Felipe Diz, along with Rodrigo Monteiro, the company was established with an initial investment of approximately $5,000 each. The founders, frustrated with the lack of expressive and high-quality pet products, aimed to create a brand that would resonate with dog owners on a deeper level. Thadeu Diz, with a background in marketing, and Felipe Diz, an industrial designer, combined their skills to launch the brand. Their journey began with designing products in Rio de Janeiro and finding a manufacturing partner in China after being rejected by local manufacturers.

The company's business model is centered on direct-to-consumer sales via its website, as well as wholesale distribution through pet shops, and its own physical retail stores, including a location in SoHo, New York. Zee.Dog's product line includes a wide range of pet accessories such as leashes, collars, harnesses, toys, and bowls, all characterized by their distinct designs and branding. More recently, the company has expanded its offerings into the pet food market with its brand, Zee.Dog Kitchen, which provides natural, human-grade food for dogs. This expansion reflects the company's strategy to build a comprehensive ecosystem of products and services for pets.

In 2021, Zee.Dog was acquired by Petz, a major player in the Brazilian pet market, for R$725 million (approximately $140 million). This acquisition has provided Zee.Dog with additional resources to accelerate its growth, particularly its international expansion and the development of new product lines. The founders have remained with the company post-acquisition to continue leading the brand's creative and strategic direction.
