YOOM (Formerly Tetavi)

YOOM, formerly known as Tetavi, is a deep tech company founded in 2016 by Micha Birnboim and Dr. Miky Tamir. The company specializes in volumetric video technology, using proprietary AI and neural networks to create photorealistic digital content and experiences for Web3 and the metaverse. Gilad Talmon joined as CEO in 2018.

The company's flagship product, YoomTrack, is a markerless performance capture software designed for animators. It provides a studio-grade solution that captures full-body, hand, and facial motion simultaneously and in real-time, eliminating the need for suits or sensors. This technology is designed to streamline animation workflows, reduce production costs, and accelerate timelines for clients in gaming, film, TV, and VFX post-production. YOOM operates on a freemium and subscription-based business model, offering several pricing tiers for its YoomTrack software, including a free plan, making it accessible to both independent creators and large studios. The company generates revenue through these subscriptions and partnerships with brands and creators. Initially targeting the sports market, the company pivoted to focus on the broader opportunities within the metaverse. It has engaged in partnerships with the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and has worked with major artists and production companies.

To date, YOOM has raised a total of $50 million over three funding rounds. A Series A round in August 2021, led by Insight Partners, raised $20 million. In October 2022, the company rebranded from Tetavi to YOOM and secured an additional $15 million from a group of strategic investors including Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine and SpringHill Company CEO Maverick Carter. The company has offices in Tel Aviv, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.
