About Yooga

Yooga provides a comprehensive management platform specifically designed for Brazil's food service sector, targeting the unique challenges faced by small to medium-sized bars and restaurants. The company's inception traces back to the personal experiences of CEO Vinicius Melo, who, after working as a waiter in Brazil and the US, identified a critical need for a more straightforward, accessible management solution than the complex and costly systems available. He observed firsthand the operational inefficiencies stemming from reliance on pen, paper, and Excel spreadsheets.

Founded in December 2017 in Vitória, Espírito Santo, by Vinicius Melo, Victor Sortica (CTO), and Cassiano Guerra (Head of Technology and Products), Yooga was built on the principle of simplifying day-to-day restaurant operations. The founders' journey was marked by resilience; facing a critical cash shortage and a collapsed funding round, they personally secured a R$1.5 million loan to sustain the business, a pivotal moment that led to profitability. This bootstrap mentality defined their early years, taking four years to acquire their first 200 clients before experiencing accelerated growth.

The business operates on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, generating revenue primarily through monthly subscriptions for its all-in-one platform. This core product integrates Point of Sale (PDV), a proprietary delivery system with a digital menu, CRM, payment processing, and fiscal management tools in a single interface. Yooga's platform is designed to replace outdated legacy software and manual processes, offering features like inventory management, financial controls, and sales reports accessible via computer or mobile. A growing revenue stream comes from commissions on transactions processed through its integrated payment solutions. In February 2025, Yooga acquired Kuppi, a platform for WhatsApp-based sales, to enhance its offerings and reduce client dependency on third-party delivery marketplaces.
