Hangzhou Xinyun Technology Co., Ltd., operating under the trade name XY Technology, is a high-tech enterprise focused on the semiconductor and optical communication sectors. The company was established in January 2017 in Hangzhou, China, by a team of seasoned professionals, including CEO Xia Xiaoliang, who brought nearly two decades of semiconductor industry experience from firms like Toshiba and Microchip. Another founder, Yu Yongrui, holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and is recognized as an early designer of 10G/40G/100G optical communication chips.

XY Technology specializes in the research, development, production, and sales of ultra-high-speed analog signal chain integrated circuits, optoelectronic devices, and sensor products. The firm's business model encompasses the entire industrial chain, from initial design and development to packaging, manufacturing, and sales. This vertical integration allows for flexibility in meeting diverse user application needs. Its core offerings cater to critical national development fields such as cloud computing, high-speed data links, and 5G network construction. The company serves a global client base, with a strong presence in the domestic Chinese market as well as overseas markets including Japan, South Korea, and North America.

The product portfolio includes a comprehensive set of solutions for 100G+ optical modules, featuring high-speed optical devices and a variety of integrated circuits like drivers, transimpedance amplifiers, and microcontrollers. Since starting mass production in 2018, XY Technology has achieved significant milestones. It secured angel financing in December 2017, followed by a substantial Series A funding of nearly 100 million RMB in early 2019 and a Series B round of almost 400 million RMB in September 2020. By 2020, the company had developed over 20 new products and became one of the few enterprises globally to hold a full set of intellectual property rights for complete 100G+ optical module solutions, earning it the status of a "Hangzhou quasi-unicorn enterprise".
