Wukong Zhaofang, operating under Shanghai Haoju Information Technology Co., Ltd., was launched in 2015 as a real estate service platform. The company functions as a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and a franchise platform for real estate brokerages, aiming to consolidate the fragmented housing market by supporting small and medium-sized agencies. The business model revolves around a partnership arrangement called WP (Wukong Partner), providing associates with resources like property listings, branding, operational systems, software, and training. This model is designed to create an ecosystem that benefits homebuyers, brokerage companies, and developers.

Founded by Qian Jianguo, who previously established Zhiyuan Real Estate, and co-founded by CTO Li Lei, a former senior R&D manager at Ctrip, the company leverages mobile internet technology to link online customer acquisition with offline channels. Wukong Zhaofang initially focused on the second-hand housing market and later expanded to include new properties, facilitating linkage between the two sectors. As of 2017, the company had secured a Series B+ funding round in the tens of millions of dollars from investors including Northern Light Venture Capital, ZhenFund, and Sequoia Asia Venture Capital Fund. The platform covers dozens of cities, incorporating over 3,000 brokerage stores and more than 30,000 agents.
