Wowqu Technology, founded in 2012, is an enterprise-level database cloud provider. The company was established in Hangzhou by core members of Alibaba's original "de-IOE" database team, including founder and CEO Chen Dong, and co-founder and COO Li Jianhui. Chen Dong previously led Alibaba's B2B database team, and Li Jianhui has extensive experience in system administration from his time at Alibaba.

The company focuses on making database infrastructure simpler for enterprise clients. Its business model centers on providing a neutral, enterprise-grade database cloud that supports a wide array of both international and domestic databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, MongoDB, GaussDB, and OceanBase. Wowqu Technology offers a product suite that covers the entire lifecycle of database management, including proprietary cloud appliances (QData), private cloud RDS (QFusion), and data backup and disaster recovery solutions (QPlus). These products are designed to enhance database performance and provide comprehensive management capabilities. The firm serves a diverse client base across more than 40 industries, including finance, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Wowqu Technology has received several rounds of funding, including a Series A of 30 million RMB in 2015 and a B+ strategic financing round in November 2023, led by Yima Investment. The company has been recognized as a national "Specialized, Refined, New, and Unique Little Giant" enterprise and a quasi-unicorn enterprise in Hangzhou.
