About WorldLand

WorldLand is a decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) mainnet built for verifiable GPU compute. Founded in 2023 by Professor Heung-No Lee, the company is developing an AI-based distributed GPU infrastructure platform to create a verifiable, decentralized compute marketplace. The project is headquartered in the Cayman Islands.

The WorldLand Foundation's platform combines blockchain technology with an AI-native distributed GPU infrastructure. It aims to transform idle global GPU capacity into a decentralized AI cloud by providing verifiable evidence that GPU tasks for training, inference, and storage are executed correctly. This is powered by a proprietary Proof-of-Compute (PoC) system and an ECCVCC Consensus mechanism, which is a Proof-of-Work system designed to be ASIC-resistant. The protocol features a dual-mode operation that allows hardware to automatically switch between mining for network security and servicing AI jobs to maximize revenue for providers. For developers, WorldLand offers on-demand GPU containers with full SSH root access and pre-installed CUDA drivers, enabling them to start training models quickly without long-term contracts.

The platform operates as a Web3 cloud for decentralized AI, serving clients who need access to enterprise-grade GPUs and those who wish to monetize their idle hardware. Its business model revolves around creating a marketplace where users can access this computational power. The network's security and integrity are reinforced through economic measures like collateral staking, slashing penalties, and a clawback mechanism. The native currency of the WorldLand public mainnet is WLC (Chain ID 103), which supports decentralized applications and digital asset transfers.

In February 2026, WorldLand announced a significant funding milestone with a $100 million committed investment from Bolts Capital, one of the largest protocol-level commitments in the decentralized AI sector. This venture capital infusion is intended to support the global expansion of GPU supply, fund network-level incentives, and promote the development of AI decentralized applications (DApps) on its mainnet. This followed up to $7.2 million in grants from the Korean government, which classified the project as a premier deep-technology initiative. These investments position WorldLand to scale its core protocol and decentralized GPU marketplace globally.
