Waste Eliminator

Founded by Wes Turner in late 2004, Waste Eliminator began as a one-truck operation to supplement his existing stump-grinding business in the Atlanta area. Recognizing a broader need for material hauling at job sites, Turner expanded the company, which now operates as a comprehensive waste management services provider. The company's services focus on collection, hauling, disposal, and recycling for commercial, industrial, residential, and governmental clients primarily in the Metro Atlanta region and expanding into Georgia and South Carolina.

Waste Eliminator's business model is centered on providing vertically integrated waste solutions with a strong emphasis on beneficial reuse and recycling. The company generates revenue through contracts for waste collection, dumpster rentals, and the operation of its disposal and recycling facilities. Its infrastructure includes multiple material recovery facilities (MRFs), a construction and demolition (C&D) landfill, transfer stations for municipal solid waste (MSW), and one of Georgia's largest composting facilities. This allows the company to handle a diverse range of waste streams, including commercial solid waste, organic waste, biosolids, and special liquids. A key service is the processing of materials like metal, plastic, wood, concrete, and carpet, which diverts a significant amount of waste from landfills.

A significant milestone in the company's history occurred in 2022 when it received a strategic investment from Allied Industrial Partners (AIP), a private equity firm. This partnership provided a capital commitment of over $150 million, fueling an aggressive growth strategy focused on acquisitions to scale the business and enhance its service capabilities. This has led to numerous acquisitions, including Gainesville Waste & Recycling, Dawsonville Waste & Recycling, Enterprise Landfill, and Unlimited Disposal Dumpster Service, transforming Waste Eliminator into one of the largest independent waste management businesses in its operating area. Following the investment, Wes Turner initially continued as CEO, later transitioning to a board role, with Kacy Cronan, founder of the acquired Gainesville Waste & Recycling, becoming CEO.
