Vyriy Drone is a Ukrainian defense technology company established in 2022 that develops and manufactures Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and loitering munitions. The company was founded by Oleksiy Babenko. Vyriy Drone serves as an official contractor to the Ukrainian government, producing smart, combat-proven solutions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The company's business model is centered on in-house research and development, which allows for rapid adaptation to battlefield requirements. Over 80% of their product components are manufactured in Ukraine, a strategic decision to reduce import dependency and support the national defense industry. This vertical integration enables Vyriy to produce drones with domestically sourced frames, motors, flight controllers, and other electronics at a cost comparable to models built with Chinese components. Their production capacity is reported to be 4,000 drones per month.

Vyriy's product portfolio includes a range of FPV kamikaze drones and observation/targeting drones, such as the VYRIY and JOHNY series, available in different sizes. A key offering is the VYRIY OPTO series, which utilizes a fiber-optic cable for control and video feeds, making the drones highly resistant to electronic warfare and GPS jamming. Payloads for their drones range from 2 kg to 4 kg, with operational ranges of up to 25 km. In 2025, the company introduced its first ground drone, the “Dzhankoi,” which can carry multiple FPV drones for coordinated strikes.

Vyriy is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy, investing over $4 million in the DefenceTech sector through the acquisition of other Ukrainian startups. In 2025, the company acquired controlling stakes in five firms, including Cyber Droid (a manufacturer of ground robotic systems), UAV developers Blyskavka, Veresen, and Sokil, and electronics specialists RNK Solutions and Synevir.
