Vistronix
National security systems, solutions and services that protect a country's safety, security and economic well-being
About Vistronix
In 1990, Deepak Hathiramani founded Vistronix, a company focused on providing enterprise technology solutions to U.S. federal government agencies. For over two decades, the company steadily built its expertise in areas like systems engineering, IT services, and information management. A pivotal moment in the Vistronix playbook arrived in 2013 when it began a series of strategic acquisitions to bolster its capabilities, particularly in high-demand sectors like analytics, cyber, and intelligence. This aggressive growth strategy, which included acquiring three companies in 2013 and another three in 2014, transformed Vistronix into a significant mid-tier contractor in the national security space. The company's focus was on providing solutions for national security, designing and developing software to handle large, complex data for the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other federal agencies. This strategy was supported by outside investment from firms like Enlightenment Capital, which backed Vistronix's acquisition-led expansion. However, the story took its final turn in August 2016. Vistronix, itself a prolific acquirer, was acquired by ASRC Federal, a subsidiary of the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC). At the time of the acquisition, Vistronix had grown to over 700 employees. The deal marked a strategic move for ASRC Federal to expand its footprint within the intelligence community and enhance its capabilities in advanced analytics, cybersecurity, and large-scale data processing, absorbing the very expertise Vistronix had spent years accumulating.
