About VersionOne
VersionOne was founded in Georgia in 2002 by Robert Holler and Rajiv Delwadia to address the emerging needs of the agile development market. The company pioneered the enterprise Agile Project and Lifecycle Management (ALM) market, launching one of the first commercial toolsets to help companies manage and scale their agile projects as team sizes and project complexity grew. Throughout its history, VersionOne focused exclusively on agile and lean software development, building a platform to support enterprise-scale deployment from discovery to delivery.
In a significant milestone, VersionOne merged with CollabNet in 2017 to form CollabNet VersionOne, a move aimed at combining enterprise agile planning with application lifecycle management. This new entity continued to evolve, and in 2020, TPG Capital backed the merger of CollabNet VersionOne with XebiaLabs, a leader in release orchestration and deployment automation. This combination was a strategic step toward creating an integrated, end-to-end DevOps platform. Shortly after, in April 2020, CollabNet VersionOne, XebiaLabs, and Arxan Technologies officially combined to form Digital.ai. Digital.ai was established to provide a unified, intelligent value stream platform that integrates business agility, software delivery, and application security.
The VersionOne product, now part of the Digital.ai platform, is a cloud-based agile application lifecycle management solution that helps organizations plan, track, and manage software development. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for backlog management, sprint planning, progress tracking, and support for methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The platform is designed for large and complex enterprises across various industries, enabling them to align software delivery with business goals through end-to-end visibility and cross-team collaboration. Revenue is generated through a subscription-based model with different pricing tiers based on user count and required features.
