Upwind Security is a cloud cybersecurity company founded in 2022 by the Spot.io leadership team—including CEO Amiram Shachar, CTO Tal Zur, Chief Architect Liran Polak and SVP Growth Lavi Ferdman—after Spot’s acquisition by NetApp. Its runtime-first Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform uses lightweight eBPF sensors to map cloud assets roughly every 30 seconds, combine CSPM/CWPP/CDR capabilities, prioritize vulnerabilities by real usage, and add AI-BOM and agentic Red/Blue workflows for cloud and AI workloads after acquiring Nyx in 2025. After a $100 million Series A in December 2024 and a $250 million Series B in January 2026 led by Bessemer Venture Partners at about a $1.5 billion valuation, Upwind raised a $300 million Series C in September 2026 led by returning investors Bessemer and TCV with Salesforce Ventures, Greylock, Craft Ventures and others, valuing the company at $3.8 billion.
