About UpHill

UpHill is a Portuguese health-tech company that builds care orchestration software for hospitals and health systems. Its clinical automation platform uses evidence-based clinical pathways to automate patient assessments, triage, care plans and follow-up tasks, so clinical teams can treat more patients without adding staff.

The main product, UpHill Route, integrates with hospital electronic health records. It reads patient history, labs and medication data, collects information from patients by voice, chat or forms, prepares each case for clinician review, and writes orders, appointments and episode notes back to the record. Route is certified as a Class IIa medical device under the EU MDR. Use cases include emergency and acute care, surgical pathways and chronic disease management.

Customers are hospitals and healthcare providers, mainly in Portugal and Spain, including Luz Saúde, Hospital Cruz Vermelha and Hôpital de La Tour; the platform is used across more than 500 health units. UpHill sells the software to providers as SaaS. It also runs Liber, a consumer app giving members 24/7 access to doctors.
