About Unijet

Unijet, established in September 2002, is a South Korean company specializing in industrial inkjet printing systems and equipment. The company was co-founded by Kim Seok-soon and Kim Seung-han, who currently serve as co-CEOs. Kim Seok-soon was inspired to develop inkjet technology for manufacturing electronic products after attending a conference in the United States in 1997. Unijet introduced the first inkjet for printed electronics in South Korea and has since become a key player in the domestic market, having established a corporate research institute in 2008. The firm's core business revolves around developing and producing high-precision inkjet equipment for depositing electronic materials. Its technology is utilized across a range of advanced industries, including the manufacturing of displays like LCD, OLED, and MicroOLED, as well as solar cells, RFID, and AR/VR components. A significant portion of Unijet's business, approximately 70% of its revenue, comes from the display sector, particularly for processes like Thin Film Encapsulation (TFE) in MicroOLED displays. The company's proprietary 'Uni Printed Electronics Control System' platform features an algorithm that analyzes ink drops in real-time to optimize spray volume and sequence, enabling the creation of ultra-thin film layers. Unijet's business model focuses on the sale of R&D and mass-production equipment to a global clientele. Its product lineup includes the InnovJet Series for OLED TFE, the OmniJet Series for R&D, and systems for MicroOLED processes and Perovskite solar cells. The company has supplied equipment to over 80 companies worldwide and has engaged in notable projects, such as providing a commercial TFE system to China's Sidtek in 2021 and being selected as an RGB inkjet printer supplier for a major government-backed display technology project in South Korea in 2023. As of April 2024, Unijet is planning to pursue an initial public offering (IPO) through a technology special listing.
