On July 1, 2021, Twistle was acquired by Health Catalyst, a prominent data and analytics technology provider in the healthcare sector, for approximately $104.5 million, with potential for an additional $65 million based on performance. This strategic acquisition integrated Twistle's patient engagement technology with Health Catalyst's robust data analytics platform, enhancing population health management capabilities. The business model is centered on providing its platform to healthcare organizations, such as hospitals and life science companies, on a subscription basis. By automating patient follow-up and surveillance, the platform allows clinical teams to focus their resources on patients requiring direct intervention.
