Turbocoating
Surface treatments and manufactures components used in industrial gas turbines and aero engines
About Turbocoating
The story begins in a garage in Parma, Italy, in 1973. An entrepreneur named Nelso Antolotti started a company called Flametal, armed with a thermal spray gun and an idea. The business focused on a critical industrial need: developing protective coatings for components in gas turbines and jet engines. This was a highly specialized field, essential for improving the durability and heat resistance of engine parts. As the company grew, it became Unitedcoatings Group. A significant step was the creation of the Turbocoating division, which expanded its capabilities in plasma spray and other advanced coating technologies. In 2010, the company made a strategic move into the US market, establishing a facility in North Carolina to better serve its North American OEM customers. A key development came in 2020 when the entire organization, including Turbocoating, rebranded under a single name: Lincotek. The name itself is a nod to its roots, combining "LIN" from the founder's daughter and new Vice President, Linda Antolotti, with "CO" for coating and "TEK" for technology. This move unified its various divisions, with Turbocoating becoming Lincotek Surface Solutions. Still privately owned by the Antolotti family, Lincotek has continued to expand through strategic acquisitions, such as Hitemco and Danco Medical, broadening its service offerings and global presence.
