The service was a spin-off from SRI International and employed the CALO technology, which was also foundational to Apple's Siri. This technology allowed the platform to pull content from a wide range of sources such as blogs, professional journals, news services, magazines, and video feeds based on keyword searches or user interests.
Trapit also included built-in analytics and social scheduling tools to help businesses measure the impact of their content and streamline their publishing workflows. The company was eventually acquired, and its services are no longer available.
