About Trading Ticket

Trading Ticket, Inc., operating as TradeIt, was a financial technology firm founded in 2014 by Nathan Richardson, Serge Kreiker, and Gaspard de Dreuzy. The company was established to bridge the gap between financial content and trade execution, enabling users to act on investment ideas directly from the apps and websites they use daily. Co-founder and CEO Nathan Richardson brought extensive experience from leadership roles at Yahoo! Finance, Dow Jones Online, and Gilt Groupe, blending a deep understanding of digital media with financial services. His background, which also includes humanitarian work with the Peace Corps and the International Rescue Committee, informed the company's mission to make investing more accessible.

The firm developed a business-to-business model centered on providing a patent-pending API and software development kits (SDKs) to financial publishers, app developers, and brokerage firms. This technology allowed these partners to embed trading functionality directly into their platforms. For publishers and app developers, this created a new monetization channel without the regulatory burden of becoming a broker-dealer. For brokerage firms like Fidelity and E*TRADE, it offered a way to reach customers at the point of inspiration, capturing order flow from a broad ecosystem of over 100 investing apps.

TradeIt's core products were the TradingTicket and PortfolioView. The TradingTicket enabled users to link their existing brokerage accounts and execute trades securely from third-party applications, including social media platforms and news sites. This streamlined the process from discovering an investment opportunity to placing an order. PortfolioView complemented this by allowing users to see their real-time account information and holdings within the same partner apps, offering a more integrated wealth management experience. The company's technology was recognized in 2015 when it won the Global Citi Mobile Challenge for Most Innovative Trading Solution. In August 2019, Trading Ticket was acquired by TradingView.
