Founded in 2007 as Big White Wall, the company's goal was to provide a safe, anonymous online space where individuals could discuss their mental well-being without fear of stigma. The name was changed to Togetherall in August 2020 to better reflect the platform's inclusive community.

This peer interaction is monitored around the clock by more than 50 licensed mental health practitioners, referred to as Wall Guides, who ensure the safety of the environment and provide support. In addition to the community forum, Togetherall offers members a variety of self-guided courses and resources to help them manage their mental health. The company has secured at least $18.6M in funding over several rounds, including a significant $10 million investment in November 2020 led by FPE Capital to accelerate its North American expansion.

Matthew McEvoy was appointed CEO in May 2023, succeeding Henry Jones. McEvoy previously led the company's successful growth in North America, a key focus for the firm. He brings over 18 years of experience in the mental health services sector, including building a student support program at Morneau Shepell (now Telus Health). The leadership team also includes Chief Clinical Officer Ben Locke, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist who oversees the clinical framework that underlies the platform's safety and support systems.
