Thrupoint
Consulting, technical and managed services for clients to optimize, secure, manage and leverage their tech infrastructure
About Thrupoint
Thrupoint operated as a specialized provider of IT and network consulting and professional services, having been founded in 1996. The firm focused on developing technology architectures and strategic roadmaps for corporate clients, particularly within the financial and service provider sectors. Its core service offerings revolved around managing and optimizing infrastructures for unified communications, security, mobility, data centers, and storage.
The company's business model was centered on providing consulting and professional services that covered the entire lifecycle of technology management for its clients. Thrupoint offered an integrated platform designed for communications and collaboration, utilizing scripts and templates to create an abstract network view that integrated with the business application layer. This holistic approach was designed to address both the immediate and long-term technology needs of its customers.
A significant milestone in the company's history was its acquisition by Acuative, a global provider of IT and network support services. The acquisition occurred in two phases in 2014. Acuative first acquired the U.S. division of Thrupoint in March 2014, which at the time had over 100 employees in offices in New York and Virginia. This was followed by the acquisition of Thrupoint's international divisions in July 2014, expanding Acuative's presence into Europe and the Middle East with offices in England and Saudi Arabia. Following these transactions, Thrupoint was fully integrated and began operating under the Acuative brand. Prior to this, Thrupoint had raised $37.4M in funding from investors including BofA Securities, Cisco Investments, and Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital.
