In 1990, a Chartered Engineer named Paul Broadhurst founded Technetix to provide critical technology to major broadband cable and telecommunications operators. The company's mission was to develop equipment that helps operators increase their network capacity and improve efficiency. Broadhurst, who remains the CEO and major shareholder, began by building strategic partnerships with leading broadband cable operators, establishing Technetix as a trusted partner for its technical expertise. Technetix focuses on designing and developing solutions for the access network and connectivity markets, owning the intellectual property for most of its products. The company's product line includes advanced technologies for fiber-to-the-home (FTTx), DOCSIS, and Distributed Access Architecture (DAA). A key moment in the company's journey was the 2022 acquisition of Lindsay Broadband Inc. This strategic purchase expanded Technetix's footprint in the Americas and broadened its product portfolio, adding solutions for HFC, fiber, and mobile networks. The move was designed to accelerate growth in the Americas, adding a new customer base and significant employee talent to the team. This acquisition, alongside strong product development, contributed to a record year in 2023, with revenues in the Americas increasing by 282% to $80 million.
