TAF Industries is a Ukrainian defense technology company that designs and manufactures a wide range of military solutions, including FPV drones, electronic warfare (EW) systems, reconnaissance UAVs, and counter-UAV interceptors. Founded in 2022 by Oleksandr Yakovenko, the company emerged in response to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, aiming to provide technological advantages on the battlefield. Yakovenko, with a background in logistics, fuel import, and grain export, pivoted his expertise to support the Ukrainian military, initially using his logistics fleet for military transport before venturing into drone production.

Originally known as TAF Drones, the company rebranded to TAF Industries in 2025 to reflect its expanded portfolio of over 30 products. It has grown into a holding structure that includes five companies specializing in FPV drones, reconnaissance systems, EW, component importation, and software development. TAF Industries operates over 20 production sites with a capacity of up to 80,000 FPV drones per month and employs around 1,000 people. The business model serves Ukraine's armed forces and is expanding to international markets, having received purchase requests from Gulf states like the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait for its interceptor drones.

The company's flagship product is the Kolibri (Hummingbird) family of FPV drones, which are certified by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and have been used extensively in combat. The product lineup has diversified to include: - **Kolibri FR13:** An aerial repeater drone designed to extend communication range in difficult terrain and EW environments. - **Babka (TAF-U1):** A low-cost reconnaissance drone with a 40-50 km tactical radius and GPS-independent navigation. - **Interceptor Drones:** The TAF-I10, a modified Kolibri-10, and the high-speed Octopus-100, designed to counter enemy drones. - **Electronic Warfare (EW) and AI:** The company develops EW systems like the "Kvazar" and AI-assisted targeting solutions such as the NATO-certified "Last Mile" module, which enables autonomous targeting even when control is lost. - **Power Key:** A hardware solution that allows drones to enter a deep hibernation mode for ambush tactics, waiting for up to two weeks before activation.

In 2024, TAF Industries launched the Innovation Hub, a private defense-tech cluster to accelerate the development and deployment of new military technologies by supporting developers and inventors. The hub acts as an M&A funnel for the company, facilitating the integration of new projects like the "Babka" drone and EW systems into its portfolio.
