Cloud-based video library storage, access, and licensing
About T3Media
T3Media, originally founded as Thought Equity Motion in 2003 by Kevin Schaff, was a company that provided cloud-based storage, access, and licensing for large-scale video libraries. In April 2012, the company rebranded from Thought Equity Motion to T3Media to reflect its evolution and the three core principles of its business: storage, access, and licensing. The firm's technology platform and services were designed to help media owners manage their content, reduce complexity, and generate new revenue.
The company's business model had two primary lines: a licensing platform and a technology platform. The licensing arm, t3licensing.com, offered a vast library of sports, news, and creative footage to producers in advertising, entertainment, and publishing. The technology platform provided large-scale video library owners with hosted solutions to store, manage, and sell their content. T3Media worked with prominent video libraries, including BBC Motion Gallery, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and National Geographic. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the company had a digital processing facility in Wyoming and offices across the globe.
In 2015, T3Media rebranded to Wazee Digital. Subsequently, in 2018, Veritone, an enterprise AI solutions provider, acquired Wazee Digital for $15 million in cash and stock. This acquisition integrated Wazee Digital's video management and licensing services into Veritone's portfolio, eventually becoming part of what is now known as the Veritone Digital Media Hub, an AI-powered asset management and monetization solution.
