Sweep

The inspiration for Sweep came after CEO Rachel Delacour's previous venture, BIME Analytics, was acquired. A conversation with her son about rising sea levels prompted her to research climate change, leading her to realize the urgent need for robust tools to help businesses manage their climate impact. Recognizing that effective climate action was hindered by the difficulty of obtaining accurate carbon data, she and her co-founders set out to create a platform that would streamline data collection and empower large organizations to take meaningful action.

Sweep's platform serves large corporations, financial institutions, and mid-market companies, helping them navigate the complexities of sustainability reporting and compliance. The software automates the collection and management of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data, even within complex, decentralized organizations. It utilizes AI agents to simplify tasks, such as creating data workflows and generating disclosure drafts, turning processes that once took hours into minutes. Key features include tools for setting data-driven sustainability strategies, simulating reduction pathways, tracking value chain performance, and ensuring audit-readiness for compliance with regulations like CSRD, SFDR, and CDP. The platform is designed for collaboration, enabling teams across finance, procurement, and sustainability to work together. The company operates on a SaaS business model, offering its platform to clients such as L'Oréal, Thales, and Crocs.

Since its public launch in April 2021, Sweep has achieved significant milestones. It secured $5 million in seed funding in June 2021, followed by a $22 million Series A round led by Balderton Capital. The company is a certified B Corp and an "entreprise à mission" in France, legally binding it to its social and environmental objectives.
