Stuffed Puffs is a confectionery company that developed a proprietary manufacturing process for its flagship product: marshmallows filled with real chocolate that melts from the inside out when roasted. The company operates in the consumer-packaged goods market, selling directly to consumers and through major retail partnerships.

The idea for Stuffed Puffs originated in 2008 with founder Michael Tierney, who, while at a campfire, sought to solve the perennial problem of s'mores—the chocolate rarely melts properly. He conceptualized putting the chocolate inside the marshmallow. Tierney, who had a background in the culinary arts, including a degree from The Culinary Institute of America and experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, founded the company in 2012. After years of development and facing rejections from manufacturers who claimed the process was impossible, Tierney developed his own technology. To fund this venture, he first launched Mikey's, a gluten-free baked goods brand. In 2018, a partnership with venture group Factory, LLC provided the capital to build the first Stuffed Puffs manufacturing plant, and the product officially launched in Walmart stores in 2019. In August 2024, the company's assets were acquired by Mount Franklin Foods.

The company's business model is centered on selling its products through nationwide retailers and directly to consumers online. A major milestone was its exclusive launch partnership with Walmart, which led to rapid growth and the need for expanded production capacity. The company has since expanded its distribution to over 22,000 retail locations. Stuffed Puffs generates revenue through the sale of its various marshmallow products. The product line has expanded beyond the original Classic Milk Chocolate to include flavors like Chocolate-on-Chocolate, Cookies 'n Creme, and seasonal varieties. The company has also launched a "Big Bites" line and collaborated with brands like General Mills and Hershey on new product variations.
