About Stolen Spirits

Stolen Spirits was founded in a one-bedroom flat in Mt Eden, New Zealand, by Jamie Duff and Roger Holmes. The duo started with a rum brand, sourcing custom-made rum from Trinidad, and quickly gained popularity.

Following their success in New Zealand, the company expanded its operations to Australia. By late 2014, Stolen Spirits set its sights on the United States, seeking both investment and a distribution network. This led to a significant milestone in 2015, when Liquid Asset Brands (LAB) and Spirits Investment Partners (SIP) acquired a majority stake in the company, injecting $14 million into the business. This investment was the first for LAB, a company co-founded by Marc Bushala, who is also the President & CEO of Angel’s Share Brands.

Stolen Spirits operates in the alcoholic beverages industry, manufacturing and marketing a range of spirits. Their business model involves creating high-quality, distinctive spirits and distributing them through a national network of retailers. The company’s portfolio includes a variety of rums and a whiskey, all under the “Stolen” brand name. They have successfully raised a total of $17.3 million over two funding rounds from five investors.
