Stardust Solutions is a US-incorporated, Israeli-based for-profit geoengineering startup established in early 2023 by a team of Israeli physicists, including CEO Yanai Yedvab, Amyad Spector, and Eli Waxman. The company focuses on developing solar radiation management (SRM) technology to reflect sunlight away from Earth, aiming to provide a temporary solution to combat global warming.

The founders, Yedvab and Spector, are nuclear physicists who previously worked for the Israeli government. Their venture into climate science was reportedly driven by curiosity following the COVID-19 pandemic. Stardust Solutions is developing a complete system for stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI), which includes a proprietary, bio-safe particle designed to be more effective and safer than sulfates, a custom dispersion system to deagglomerate particles, and monitoring tools for controlled deployment. The company is seeking patent protection for its technology.

In October 2025, the company announced it had raised $60 million in a venture capital round led by Lowercarbon Capital, with participation from investors including an Italian industrial dynasty. This funding is intended to advance the development of its technology, with the goal of being ready for deployment by the end of the decade, pending governmental authorization. The company has stated it will not deploy its technology without a mandate from governments and is engaging with federal agencies and other stakeholders to build support and validate its approach. Stardust plans to conduct controlled outdoor experiments, releasing particles from a modified aircraft, as early as April 2026. The firm's for-profit model and pursuit of intellectual property in the geoengineering space have generated controversy and criticism from some climate scientists and environmental organizations.
