Stablepharma

Stablepharma is a UK-based biotechnology company founded in 2012 by Dr. Bruce Roser and Nick Child, aimed at eliminating the need for the pharmaceutical cold chain. The company is developing the StablevaX™ technology platform, which reformulates existing vaccines and biopharmaceuticals into thermostable products that do not require refrigeration. Stablepharma's lead candidate, SPVX02, is a fridge-free tetanus and diphtheria (Td) vaccine. The company received approval from the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and commenced Phase 1 clinical trials in April 2025. These trials are expected to conclude in Q3 2025, with results anticipated by Q4 2025. SPVX02 has demonstrated stability and potency through temperature fluctuations from -20°C to +40°C. The company has identified approximately 60 other vaccines that could be reformulated using the StablevaX™ technology and is also developing RNA-LNP based vaccines. Stablepharma has received notable funding, including grants from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Program and Innovate UK, to advance its research and clinical trials.
