Spheroid Universe, founded in 2017 by Andrey Almiashev, Dmitry Popov, Alexander Klein, Andrea De Marco, and Natalia Zyablova, operates as an extended reality (XR) metaverse company. The firm is developing a platform for creating and launching augmented reality projects, underpinned by its proprietary Spheroid XR Cloud and Spheroid Script programming language. This includes the Spheroid Demiurge IDE, a cloud-based environment for programmers and designers to collaborate on XR projects, and Spheroid Script, a cross-platform language designed to streamline XR app development. The company is also pursuing Spheroid.Earth, a community-based project to create a 3D digital twin of the planet using photo data collected by users, processed with AI and computer vision. This initiative, along with partnerships with entities like the Vancouver Biennale and membership in the Khronos Group, underscores the company's focus on developing its technological capabilities and industry presence.
