SONU operates as a non-pharmaceutical, AI-enabled system. A patient uses the SONU smartphone app to perform a 3D facial scan, which creates a digital map of their sinuses. The app's AI calculates the user's optimal resonant frequencies. The patient then wears the SONU band, which delivers these specific acoustic sound waves as gentle vibrations to the nasal cavity. This process aims to stimulate nasal nerves, which can lead to reduced swelling, the thinning of dense mucus, and improved mucus drainage, providing relief from congestion without the side effects of medication. The company's business model revolves around the sale of this device and its associated application to individuals seeking alternative treatments for nasal congestion. Future developments include SONUCast, an app feature for personalized allergy predictions based on nasal anatomy, and the use of voice as a biomarker for assessing nasal congestion.
