One of the company's latest products is the Solar Bus Kit, a highly efficient retrofit solar solution for diesel buses. This kit is optimized for the most common 12-meter bus types in the European market and helps bus fleet operators reduce diesel consumption, lower CO2 emissions, and meet their sustainability goals.

Sono Motors' vehicle-applied solar solutions also help to partially cover the energy and refrigeration needs of reefer trucks and large trailers with renewable energy. This not only prolongs operating hours but also reduces the risk of cooled goods being spoiled. The company's solar integration on the roof and sides of a 40t semi-truck trailer is expected to cover up to 50% of the cooling units’ yearly average energy needs.

The company has also developed a unique manufacturing method to seamlessly integrate solar cells into polymer for use on the exterior of passenger vehicles. This solar charging allows for more convenience for the vehicle owner, less dependency on battery charging infrastructures, and reduced running costs compared to ordinary Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs).

Sono Motors' business model allows car manufacturers and fleet operators to use their proprietary technology in their own products to retrofit existing vehicles, or new production vehicles, to extend the range of BEVs, or to comply with emission regulations.
