Solarstone, an Estonian startup, was founded by Silver Aednik, Mattis Jürimäe, and Mait Kukk. The company specializes in building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), offering solar solutions that double as roofing materials.

In early 2024, the founders announced they would be stepping down from their active management roles, with Biofuel OÜ acquiring a majority stake in the company. Sunly, a seed investor who has been with the company since 2019, will continue as a shareholder and strategic partner.

Solarstone’s business model focuses on providing aesthetically pleasing and efficient solar energy solutions for both new construction and renovation projects. Their products are sold through a network of resellers and installers, targeting both residential and commercial clients. The company’s core offerings include the "Solar Full Roof," a 2-in-1 system that replaces the entire roof with solar panels, and the "Solar Tiled Roof," which integrates seamlessly with existing roof tiles. These products are designed to be weatherproof and act as a primary roofing layer, not just a supplement to it.
