About Solaris Energy Infrastructure

Solaris Energy Infrastructure Inc., a publicly traded company headquartered in Houston, Texas, provides mobile and scalable equipment-based solutions for distributed power generation and the management of raw materials for oil and natural gas well completions. The company was established in 2014, initially as Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure, before rebranding in September 2024 to reflect its expanded focus on broader energy infrastructure. This strategic pivot was marked by the acquisition of Mobile Energy Rentals LLC (“MER”), a move that created the company's Power Solutions segment.

The company's founder, Chairman, and CEO is Bill Zartler, an executive with over three decades of experience in energy industry investing and managing growth businesses. Before founding Solaris, Zartler was a Founder and Managing Partner at Denham Capital Management, a global private equity firm focused on energy. His background includes roles at Dynegy Inc. and Dow Hydrocarbons and Resources, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Texas A&M University. Zartler's entrepreneurial ventures also include founding Solaris Midstream Holdings, a water infrastructure and recycling company.

Solaris operates through two primary business segments: Solaris Logistics Solutions and Solaris Power Solutions. The Logistics Solutions segment, the company's legacy business, designs and manufactures specialized, all-electric equipment for handling raw materials, like proppant or "frac sand," at well sites. This includes patented mobile proppant management systems and services that optimize safety and efficiency for oil and gas operators in major U.S. shale plays.

The Power Solutions segment represents a significant growth area, offering configurable, natural gas-powered mobile turbines for clients requiring off-grid or behind-the-meter power. This division serves a diverse client base, including data centers, energy companies, and various commercial and industrial sectors. A key driver for this segment is the increasing energy demand from data centers, including a significant long-term contract to supply power to Elon Musk's xAI. The company provides turnkey solutions, including turbines, balance of plant equipment like cables and transformers, and round-the-clock field service and technical support. Revenue is generated through leasing this equipment and providing associated services, with a strategic focus on long-term contracts and joint ventures.
