Soak.com
Online bathroom retailer offering own-brand fixtures
About Soak.com
Soak.com, trading as Luxury For Less Ltd, was a Nuneaton-based online retailer specializing in bathroom products. The company designed and sourced its own range of bathroom essentials, including taps, basins, showers, furniture, and baths, selling them directly to consumers through its website. Previously known as Bath Empire, the company rebranded to Soak.com in April 2016.
The business faced significant financial challenges in its later years. In March 2019, the US-focused plumbing and heating group Ferguson sold the "non-core" business to director Christopher Bale in a management buyout. For the six months ending in January 2019, Soak.com had incurred a trading loss of approximately £1.5 million. Despite efforts to restructure, the company's financial situation did not improve, with annual sales dropping from over £70 million in the year ending July 2018 to £43 million. In early 2020, the company hired specialists to find a buyer to avoid collapse. These efforts were unsuccessful, and Luxury For Less Ltd ceased trading on February 21, 2020, before being placed into administration on March 19, 2020, with Leonard Curtis Business Rescue and Recovery appointed as joint administrators.
