SmartZyme has outlined two initial products for the diabetes market. The first is a custom-designed enzyme intended to enhance bio-electrochemical glucose catalysis in glucose test strips for the Self-Monitoring Blood Glucose (SMBG) market. The second product is the "Go Patch Go," described as a personalized patient care system designed for on-demand blood glucose measurement.

To finance its development pipeline, the company has successfully engaged with institutional investors. SmartZyme has raised a total of $4 million over two funding rounds. A significant funding event occurred in October 2015, led by the healthcare investment firm OrbiMed. Its latest Series B round was completed in March 2018, with participation from investors Orbimed and VI Ventures.
