Smart Shooter is an Israeli defense technology company that designs, develops, and manufactures advanced fire control systems (FCS) for small arms. The company was co-founded in 2012 by CEO Michal Mor and CTO Avshalom Ehrlich, both former employees of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems' missile division. Mor, who has a master's degree in Industrial Psychology and Human Factors Engineering, and Ehrlich, a software engineer, left Rafael to pursue startups, eventually establishing Smart Shooter.

The company's core business revolves around its SMASH family of products, which are add-on fire control systems for standard assault rifles. These systems utilize artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms to lock onto and track targets, ensuring the weapon only fires when perfectly aligned for a hit. This "One Shot – One Hit" capability is designed to dramatically increase the accuracy and lethality for soldiers and law enforcement, even under stressful conditions, against both static and moving targets on the ground and in the air. The technology aims to enhance operator survivability while minimizing collateral damage.

Smart Shooter's primary clients are military and law enforcement agencies worldwide. The company has secured significant contracts with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Army, the Dutch military, and the German Army, among other NATO forces. The business model appears to be direct sales and contracts with governmental defense and security organizations. The company has headquarters in Yagur, Israel, and subsidiary offices in the US, Germany, and Australia to serve its global customer base.

The product line includes several variations. The SMASH 2000L (or 3000) is a lightweight, handheld version. The SMASH X4 adds a 4x magnifying scope for longer-range engagement. The SMASH Hopper is a lightweight, remote-controlled weapon station that can be mounted on tripods, vehicles, or unmanned platforms. Additionally, the SMASH Dragon is a payload designed specifically for mounting on drones, turning them into highly precise aerial weapon systems.
