About Skyfora

Skyfora is a Helsinki weather-tech company founded in 2019 that turns existing telecom cell towers and base stations into a real-time atmospheric sensing network for AI forecasting. Using GNSS meteorology (and StreamGNSS / StreamSonde instruments where needed), it extracts humidity and related observations from signal delays to feed high-resolution AI weather models without installing dedicated meteorological hardware at every site. For telecom operators the software-centric approach aims to unlock new data revenue and resilience; customers and partners span Europe, the US, Africa and the Middle East. In June 2026 Skyfora raised €6.5 million led by Ugly Duckling Ventures, with Eviny Ventures, LUMO Labs and the European Innovation Council Fund, plus Business Finland non-dilutive support, to scale the Telecom GNSS Meteorology platform, API products and commercial deployments.
