About Skapion
Skapion is an Israeli-American counter-UAS company building what it and backers describe as an “Iron Dome for drone swarms”: a mobile, platform-agnostic launcher that fires numerous kinetic interceptors to detect, engage and defeat FPV and fiber-optic drone swarms in degraded environments, with stretch toward Group 2 and above. Based in Washington, D.C., with R&D in Israel, the founding team includes former Rafael Air and Missile Defense Systems leadership tied to Iron Dome/David’s Sling programmes and XTEND defence commercial leadership (CEO Ido Bar-On; CTO Gal Goren). The system is described in press as already operational. In July 2026 Skapion emerged from stealth with $36 million in seed funding led by Khosla Ventures and UP.Partners, with Fusion VC, Stratos Ventures, TBD VC and Q Fund, to scale the counter-swarm stack for U.S. and allied markets.
