Sixa gained early traction by participating in accelerators, including Startupbootcamp Istanbul and the Summer 2016 batch of Y Combinator. The company secured several funding rounds, starting with an accelerator round in September 2015 and culminating in a $3.5 million seed round in December 2016, led by Tandem Capital. By that time, total funding had reached approximately $3.7 million. However, the company is now listed as inactive or out of business. Reports emerged around May 2020 that the founders had become unresponsive to investors after raising significant capital, leading to the company's eventual demise.
