In collaboration with XtalPi, an AI-powered drug R&D company, Signet identified the FAK protein as a potential target for treating DGC and developed SIGX1094. The drug has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from the FDA in the U.S. and the NMPA in China and has entered Phase I clinical trials. The FDA has also granted SIGX1094 Orphan Drug Designation and Fast Track Designation, recognitions intended to expedite the development of treatments for serious conditions with unmet medical needs. Beyond DGC, preclinical studies suggest SIGX1094 may have potential in treating other cancers like ovarian, triple-negative breast, and pancreatic cancer. To date, Signet Therapeutics has secured nearly $31 million in funding and was named on the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list.
