About Siddhivinayak Agri Processing

Siddhivinayak Agri Processing Pvt. Ltd. (SV Agri), established in 2008, is an integrated potato supply chain solutions company based in Pune, India. The company was founded by Hemant Gaur, Kaushik Malpani, and Avijit Majumdar.

SV Agri operates through two primary divisions: Agri Business and Food Engineering. The Agri Business division focuses on the entire potato value chain, from providing high-quality potato seeds to farmers to offering storage solutions and a nationwide delivery network to ensure a year-round supply of process-grade potatoes. This division assists farmers with training, advisory services, and access to over 25 varieties of potatoes, including the low glycemic index Carisma variety. The company employs advanced agricultural techniques like AI-enabled aeroponics and engages in contract farming to maintain quality and supply.

The Food Engineering Business division designs, manufactures, and installs a wide range of processing equipment for snacks and other food products. Its offerings include complete processing lines for potato chips, extruded snacks, French fries, and popcorn, as well as equipment for roasting nuts and pulses, flavoring systems, and dryers. This division caters to food manufacturers by providing customized solutions to meet specific market demands for taste, texture, and ingredients. SV Agri also offers ingredient solutions, such as potato flakes, granules, and starch, to a diverse client base of large, medium, and small domestic customers, as well as some overseas clients.

Since its inception as a supply chain platform, SV Agri has achieved significant milestones, including raising its first capital in 2011, launching its engineering division in 2012, and establishing an aeroponics facility in 2015. The company has formed strategic joint ventures with Netherlands-based Mooij Agro and Agrico BV. In December 2021, the company completed a Series B funding round, contributing to a total of $16 million raised over six rounds from investors including WayCool, Lok Capital, and SIDBI. In 2022, WayCool acquired a majority stake in SV Agri.
